The Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence (PISE) and Greater Victoria Sports Hall of Fame (GVSHOF) host the 3rd Annual Island Savings Family Sport and Recreation Festival. The Festival is a free, one day interactive sports and recreation expo for the whole family on May 5, 2012 10am – 4pm at the Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence.
Packed with dynamic, fun, interactive activities for the whole family – the event is your pre-summer destination for checking out all the ways to get active and serves to introduce children to a large range of sport and recreation opportunities! There will be information booths, interactive activities, sport demonstrations,wall, zipline and much, much more. Come see what opportunities there are for people with disabilities!
With over 30 sports, parks, and recreation organizations together in one place to showcase their programs it is the perfect venue to encourage young people to get active. They welcome individuals and families to join them on May 5th for this great event, and to assist them in raising funds for Sport Start and other charities associated with Island Savings.
