TARTAN DAY VICTORIA event on Saturday, April 7th, 2012 in Market Square

Victoria will celebrate the 2nd annual TARTAN DAY VICTORIA event on Saturday, April 7th, 2012 in Market Square in recognition of 'National Tartan Day' which is celebrated officially throughout Canada.

Market Square will be decked out in full Tartan with Scottish Cultural booths, Tartan Weavers, Scottish Shortbread & Baking, Pipers, Highland and Scottish Country Dancers, a Highland dog breed display, Island Farms 'Daisy the Cow', Scottish entertainment and Celtic bands.

Victoria Mayor Dean Fortin will officially open the day's festivities at 12:00 noon and there will be a steady stream of entertainment for all ages until 4:00 PM.

Whether you have Scottish roots, or you're just a closet Braveheart, you're sure to have a bonnie grand day!
